there’s still time

There’s almost always that brief period when summer is over and autumn is well underway…and winter is nudging closer…when it’s as if summer makes one last futile attempt to return. For three or four days the sun comes out, the air is warm, and the only thing you can do is go to the fair.

Except, of course, the fair ended six weeks earlier. Still, the fairground is open and you can wander through and look at all the buildings locked up for the season. And that’s just what I did.
